Angry Birds to add to multi-platform game with new Facebook release

A new version of Finland’s biggest export and app sensation Angry Birds is to be released as a playable Facebook game, developer Rovio has revealed.

Announced via the official Angry Birds Facebook page Rovio confirmed a new rendition of the bird-flinging mega app will land on the social network next month with little details about the release’s content given other than the news the pigs will play a more prominent role.

Already a dominant force on all major mobile platforms as well as being made available for both PC and Macs, Angry Birds has been confirmed for a number of major games consoles with a special, extra-dimensional offering to be made available in the near future for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS release.
