Android ViewPad tablet to be announced by ViewSonic

7-inch Android ViewPad images are out

Another tablet is now in the works, with ViewSonic jumping in the tablet fray.

ViewSonic will announce an Android tablet at the IFA, thereby getting into the tablet rat race.

The 7-inch ViewPad, boasts an Android OS, 3G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Another tablet that ViewSonic is working on is reportedly a 10-inch tablet that is Intel-based and has an Android OS as well as a Microsoft boot option.

Apart from that, there is USB connectivity, a microphone, speaker, 3.5mm headphone jack, front- and rear-facing cameras and a microSD slot.

The price and date of availability are still not confirmed, and the version of Android the tablet will have is also unknown.
