As if you needed more reason to believe Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest upgrade to Android, would launch Tuesday, Google has just all but made it official via YouTube. The channel, named Android Developers, put up a placeholder for an event called Android ICS Launch, complete with a countdown to the live stream. Doh!
Unless ICS stands for something else, which we highly doubt it does, looks like Ice Cream Sandwich will be officially unveiled at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011 event on Tuesday. And you can watch it all happen via the live stream, or check back here for updates. (We'll cut out all the chaff, so unless you're a fan of boring men in suits talking stats, probably best check back here.)
At the same event, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, previously known as the Samsung Nexus Prime, is also expected to be announced. It's packing a monster 4.65-inch screen, and is believed to be the first handset to run Ice Cream Sandwich.
Keep it locked on Tuesday, we'll be bringing you all the news as it happens.
