Android 2.2 update available on T-Mobile in two weeks

Android 2.2 software release date revealed on Twitter

T-Mobile customers will soon be able to enjoy Android 2.2 after it was revealed that the software update should be available within the next couple of weeks.

The information arrives via a T-Mobile Twitter account which in reference to an Android 2.2 update tweeted, “If you follow us we put out tweets to let everyone know about update releases. It will be this month.”

A further tweet revealed that the network is waiting on Google to give them the go ahead to make the update available to customers, “the software is with Google to be approved, once this is done we will have the date for roll out.”

T-Mobile customers will hope the path to full Flash support, increased processor speed and USB tethering will be a lot smoother than the software roll out on O2 and Vodafone.
