Signing up will allow you to take advantage of several features familiar to Amazon users, such as one-click payments, customer reviews and personalised recommendations.
Not only that, but buying an app or game from the Amazon Appstore means you can use it across all your Android devices.
The popular Free App of the Day has been confirmed, giving you a different paid-for app for naught every day.
Amazon has also confirmed localised content based on your country.
"We evaluate and test games and apps before making them available in the Appstore so we ensure customers have a great experience with the games and apps they purchase," said Jim Adkins, Vice President of Amazon Appstore.
The company is courting third-party developers and will be looking to build on established success across the pond. American customers have already downloaded millions of apps from the service.
