Acer has produced the world’s thinnest LCD display that it is to utilise in its range of new TVs it was announced earlier this week.

The new S1 series of LCD TVs, each with a sleek and stylish glossy black finish, will comprise of four new models ranging from 18.5-inches to 23-inches and measuring from just 15mm thick to the impossibly thin 13mm deep.

Despite these wafer thin profiles, the S1 series machines will still pack a hefty optical punch with each model offering full HD capabilities, a 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time. Adding to the displays’ features lists are VGA and DVI ports on all models with the larger 21 and 23-inch models adding a HD loving HDMI connection to the mix.

Thanks to Acer’s Adaptive Contrast Management technology, the super slim S1 series offers frame-by-frame altering contrast ratios for ultra sharp images with the technology being joined by easy on the wallet price tags, starting at just £119.99, and easy on the planet EcoDisplay low power consumption.
