Superfast broadband service of 25Mbps and above will be available to 90% of UK in four years, according to a government official.
Cultural Secretary Jeremy Hunt said, at Race Online 2012, that virtually everyone in the country will have 2Mbps connection and 90% will have a 25Mbps connection by 2015.
This is part of the government plan for UK to have the best broadband network in Europe.
"If we press ahead with expansion of superfast capabilities, then we can put the UK in the global fastlane," said Hunt, according to The Telegraph.
