3 launches the INQ1 social networking phone
Push Facebook for 24-hour gossips
Well, we got a glimpse the other week, but now 3 has officially launched the INQ1 handset, boldly described as the 'world’s most advanced social networking mobile phone'. Well, by 3 anyway.
The look might be a bit 2006, but the features are very 2008, with a 'Push' version of Facebook leading the way - live updates sent straight to the main screen, not to mention one-click site access, direct photo uploading from the 3.2MP camera and a 'live contact book' showing which members of your virtual family are online.
And that's not all. The INQ1 also integrates Windows Live Messenger, Last.fm and Skype for free Skype-to-Skype calling and unlimited messaging. If 3 threw in MySpace and Gmail, we would be shouting 'house' on buzz word bingo.
3 will be offering the INQ1 from £15 per month, which includes unlimited data use for networking obsessives, along with 75 minutes of calls to all networks. Or you can go PAYG for £79.99. Not a bad price - if the handset was a sleek touch screen number, we would be seriously tempted.
