Samsung I70

A budget gem, but does it compromise on style?

With no visible buttons or optics, the i70 even doesn't look like a camera. But slide back the body to reveal a lens, which retracts cleverly within an off-gold body, eerily reminiscent of Colombo's mac.

We've no complaints about the picture quality, start-up speed, or focusing, while the flush navigation pad puts picture tweaks a few clicks away. The 3in screen luxuriates across the back, but unfortunately it doesn't quite deliver in low light.

Samsung's pitching the i70 as a portable media player - it even comes with a pair of headphones. And while the movie mode impresses, as a video or music player it doesn't cut it. Put simply, the i70 is a stylish, capable camera. Period.
