It ain’t just smartphones doubling-down on the processing power these days, tellies are seeking a boost in the engine room too. Samsung’s latest drop-dead gorgeous LED effort, the Samsung ES8000 LED TV, arrived at CES bringing a dual-core chip for a speedier Smart TV interface and a multi-tasking experience to rival the company’s Android phones.
The Koreans have also added voice and motion control and a built-in HD video camera on top of the ever-growing array of apps. There’s also the AllShare functionality poking its tongue at Apple’s AirPlay tech. The spectacularly crisp, vivid 2D and 3D pictures still shine through as do those trademark, super-slim chrome bezels.
