The Optimus 2X blazed a trail with a dualcore processor. Now, just a year on, its successor applies napalm and air-explosive munitions to said “trail” with a quadcore chip – you really feel the benefit on games and graphics-intensive apps.
There’s also a 4.7-inch LCD whopper of a screen, an eight-meg camera, and a fifth core that keeps things running when the LG Optimus 4X HD isn’t doing anything too taxing – sleeping in your pocket, for instance.
As a result, battery life is preserved. Will LG be unveiling an octo-core phone this time next year? Watch this space…
