With cameras getting smaller it’s only paparazzi still using full-size SLRs. And peeping toms.
The Canon G1X is Canon’s latest and greatest, shrinking SLR camera skills down to a package small enough to fit in a pocket. As well as 14.3-megapixel stills, 1080p movie recording comes as standard.
But you still get SLR-style quality, with a viewfinder, and dial on the top, though you can’t swap lenses.
However, the fixed lens should provide all you need for everyday snaps, with 4x zoom, and image stabiliser to keep everything steady even if you’re wearing rollerskates on the deck of a ship in a storm.
