A borosilicate glass container is much more efficient at catching the ground coffee, as it’s static-free, unlike plastic, which it’ll stick to and hence spill everywhere.
A silicon band makes the glass slip-proof too, which is great if you’ve got wet hands/are drunk. It also looks like the kind of thing you’d find in Batman’s kitchen, which has to be a good thing.
