Like American tourists, there won’t be much to distinguish the hordes of identikit ultrabooks arriving on UK shores this summer. It’s the little things that’ll give the Acer Aspire S5 a gold medal-winning chance.
As well as an Intel core i processor and a Onyx black magnesium alloy body to die for, the S5 adds to its allure with the innovative Magic Flip I/O button, which exposes covert connectivity ports including a Thunderbolt, while raising the keyboard to a more comfortable typing angle. The device also has Dolby Home Theatre Audio and will wake from sleep in 1.5 seconds thanks to Acer's Instant On technology.
