This is a beautiful TV from Panasonic, with its signature silver surround melting down into the stand to deliver a handsome all-in-one look.

Picture quality matches the design. Spiderman 2 has a 3D-style depth to it, thanks to a contrast range that goes from inky black to Persil white.

This excellent contrast performance helps it put in a great showing on Quake 4 on the Xbox 360 - even in dark corridors, you can still pick out plenty of detail.

It's also flattering to lower quality sources, like the Freeview tuner, and it keeps tricky elements - like skin tones - under control. Sound, while not as gut-busting as the Hitachi, is still impressive.

In fact it's difficult to find much wrong with this set. Panasonic has come up with another winner at a very attractive price.
