Sonos Zone Player 80 Bundle Media streamer

Give your digital music collection the attention it deserves with this sonically spot-on media streamer.

Despite its high price, we went ga-ga over the first Sonos wireless multi-room audio system. Now the company is back with a newer, cheaper bundle.

This time, you get two of the new ZP80 Zone Players along with the wireless controller. Unlike the Zone Players in the previous system, the ZP80s don't have a built-in amp. Instead connect them to your hi-fi or surround sound system, using the analogue or digital connectors on the rear.

Setting up the system to stream music from your PC is child's play and the sound quality from each of the Zone Players is sweet. However, it's the wireless controller that really makes this two-room kit a joy to use. The gorgeous colour screen and simple scroll wheel mean it's as easy to use as an iPod. In fact, the only downer is that it doesn't work with protected tracks bought from the likes of iTunes or Napster to Go.

There are cheaper ways to stream audio from your PC to different rooms in your home but none of them are as elegant and effective as this. It's as close to the perfect multi-room audio system as you can get.
