Flexible Wi-Fi video and music streaming with style.

Of all the big-name manufacturers, Philips is the one that has most embraced the network age. The SL400i differs from other devices here as it's designed for streaming both video and audio.

We love the way that the display on the device mimics what's shown on your telly. It means that you can hook the SL400i up to a hi-fi or surround sound system and navigate your music library without having to switch on your telly.

The screen on the device isn't all that large so it can be slightly difficult to read from a distance. The navigation can also be a bit slow as you can't search for tracks by name and there are no quick access buttons for lists of artists or tracks.

The SL400i isn't the best device on the market to use purely for streaming audio because navigation can be a bit fiddly, but if you're looking for a flexible device for both watching streamed video and listening to your music collection, it's a sound choice.
