LG 32LB75
Razor-sharp lines, a dash of deep crimson on the stand and a black high gloss finish, this is one good looking 32-inch telly
While we'd hesitate to describe any television set as "sexy" (we're really not that way inclined) there's no denying that LG has managed to forge a gorgeous bit of living room fluff here. It's a tad plasticky up close, but hardly anyone will notice.
It's no munter in the performance and spec stakes either, banging out a crisp Hi-Def image with deep blacks, vivid colours and minimal amounts of noise. Motion isn't as flawlessly smooth as we've seen on some pricier 32-inchers, but for a budget model it's more than acceptable: you can play quick-paced games without having to worry about everything descending into the dreaded LCD smearfest.
Connection-wise, the three HDMI sockets -- two at the back, one on the side -- makes it very easy to hook up several pieces of HD kit at once. There's component video too, so you could actually connect four HD products simultaneously if you wanted to. Just saying, like.
All good so far, so it's a shame that the built-in speakers are tinnier than a Schweppes canning depot. We can't say that this would put us off buying the screen if we were in the market for a cheap LCD, mind you: in all other respects it's a peach.
