The Freeview tuner that records and rewinds live TV.

A twin-tuner PVR for just over £100 - can it really be possible? The answer is a resounding yes, but what you get is quite a quirky machine. On the plus side the unit is remarkably quiet and generally quite speedy in operation.

As well as recording shows, you can pause and rewind live TV. However, you can only record one programme at a time, and when recording you can't actually access any of the interactive services. Also, you can't start watching a recorded show from the beginning while it's still recording, like you can with a Sky+ box. Nevertheless, it's hard to argue against this PVR when all it costs is about the same as a high-end Freeview tuner.
