Denon has shunned true HD in favour of packing in as much picture processing gubbinry as it can.

Its chip processes a trillion operations a second, polishing images to within a micrometre of their lives. Results are staggering - impurities are wiped away, detail amazes and contrast's faultless, be it upscaled to 720p, 1080i or 1080p.

While it can't match Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, the 2930 offers the very best DVD pictures that money can buy.
