Sony XDR-M1 digital radio

This dinky DAB isn't worth the dough.

We only realised this was a DAB radio when we couldn't find the Lada badge and steering wheel. This brick-like portable has a boring screen with grey, blocky text that's hard to read, and a stubborn joystick. Annoyingly, it also insists on beeping every time you change stations, interrupting your listening. Sound quality is fine, there's ten hours' battery life, and the info button tells you all you need to know about what you're hearing - you can also store this data to refer to later. However, for a radio with such a hefty price tag you deserve much better.
