Atari Flashback
A piece of gaming archeology.
The problem with digging up skeletons from the past is that it often makes you realise that most are better off left there - like Atari's 2600 console. This resurrected baby version will raise an affectionate sigh from all those born in the 70s, but the authentically erratic joysticks revive long-dead frustrations and the "forgotten" titles are less fun than a magnet and iron filings.
The playability of the classics such as Breakout and Centipede and a fairly low price just about justify this as a piece of gaming archeology but it only really serves to show just how hard we had it back in't so-called good old days.
