When your fallible human friends have stood you up, who you gonna call?

We recommend the super-cheap Robosapien - known at T3 as lout-'bot in honour of his wolf whistles, burps and impressively loud roar. Faster on his feet than Sony's AIBO - he'd beat the robo-pooch in a race any day - lout-'bot moves without much jerking and is controlled solely via the infrared remote which works up to two metres away. He's got 67 actions in total, including dance routines to beat Travolta and robo-fu moves to trouble Van Damme. Silly, expensive to power (three AAA and four D batteries!), but still extremely fun.
