Duracell and Powermat struck up a deal back in September 2011, and the joint venture looks like it's starting to bear fruit. The aptly named Duracell Powermat can charge numerous electronic devices inductively. Inductive chargers create an alternating electro-magnetic field that overlaps with that created by the device being charged. These overlapping fields transfer energy, thus charging the battery. While wireless charging is not all that efficient, it sure is easier than fiddling about with a wire.
