As Windows 8 landed in the UK the Xbox SmartGlass app joined in on the unifying experience by launching for Windows 8 tablets and surprisingly on Android smartphones just a few days later before an expected Windows Phone 8 arrival this week.
Set to bring Microsoft powered devices much closer together, SmartGlass essentially turns any tablet, PC or smartphone into a second screen that can be used as an interface to access video, music and gaming content on the Xbox 360 games console.
While queuing up tracks, resuming videos and getting real-time film information sounds pretty impressive, we are most intrigued with how this will change the world of gaming. We’ve had some play time with the SmartGlass and gaming integration earlier this year, but with the app now officially available we take a look at the current games benefiting from the new SmartGlass technology.
