Angry Birds is a title that’s shown the world the true potential of the iPhone as a gaming platform. With millions of downloads sold and a simple yet addictive formula, the game from developers Rovio has been a legitimate runaway success.

Now there’s a new challenger to the throne, though, in the form of Chillingo’s Cut the Rope. While Angry Birds relies on a straightforward game mechanic, CtR offers a more diverse set of challenges, a mental workout and a lead character just as cute as the pigs and birds found in its rival.
