The PlayStation Vita, Sony's answer to the Nintendo 3DS is finally here in the UK which should no doubt please many a loyal PSP fan. Unlike the small number of launch titles that accompanied Ninty's glasses-free 3D portable, Sony has made more than 30 games available to begin your Vita relationship.
As you try to decide whether the PS Vita is better than the Nintendo 3DS, or if you have the £200 plus to snare one of the shelves, here's our pick of the Vita game line-up
1. WipEout 2048
Synonymous with any PlayStation launch, this new version of the space-age racer will use some PSN Wi-Fi magic to allow players to compete against near-by users, either on the hand held console or on the PS3.
2. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
One of the most anticipated launch titles sees PS3's Nathan Drake make his portable debut on the Vita, in a storyline set before Drake's Fortune. The console's hi-res OLED touch screen will make long-distance gunning a dream.
3. F1 2011
Codemasters joins the Vita launch party with the bafta award-winning title boasting fully licensed drivers, circuits and new rule changes from the 2011 season. Multiplayer action means you can race two on two in co-op challenge mode and four player Grand Prix mode. Career mode is also avaiable for those who prefer to drive solo.
4. Rayman Origins
One of the undercover hits of 2011, the 2D platformer will bring all the surreal qualities that made the console version such a joy to play while adding Vita-specific features like the ability to pinch and zoom into levels making it a perfect game for portable surroundings.
5. FIFA Soccer
The most beautiful football game on the planet is based on the same gameplay engine as the PS3 version, delivering HD graphics, in-depth Career and Be A Pro modes, and the all important ability to play online head-to-head matches.
