Beko DW686 EcoSmart Integrated Dishwasher
Beko cleans your plates without cleaning out your wallet. The DW686 has a generous capacity of 13 place settings, five programmes, Half Load and Rapid Wash settings for extra energy saving, and it's also whisper quiet. There's also a timer delay system and a salt and rinse aid indicator. What's more, it's very flexible where baskets and cutlery trays are concerned and features handy quick-set programmes. Bosch SKS51E16EU Compact
Designed for smaller households, home bars or for those who need an overflow machine for the influx of Christmas guests, this little wonder from Bosch still crams in up to six place settings. There are five wash programmes (Intensive, Normal, Economy, Delicate and Speedy - speedy taking just half an hour), and it only uses 7.5 litres of water during your average cycle. It also operates almost silently - if you wanted to install one under your desk for all those hidden whisky glasses in your study. (If you’re looking for a compact washer, Zanussi is also worth investigating.)

Siemens SN66T095GB Integrated Dishwasher
So quiet you won't even notice it (great for night cleaning if you live in a bijou city flat), this stylish Siemens model has a superb energy rating, thanks in part to zeolite tech. Put simply, this is the use of internal fans and zeolite granules to recycle damp air into hot, dry air. This limits moisture and drys your plates without using extra energy. There are five temperature settings, six programmes, and a load of sensors to auto detect dirt levels. The entire interior is illuminated too, for added prettiness.

The K20 in the name stands for "Knock2Open", a feature that allows you to simply gently tap twice on the door for access into this washer's spacious inner sanctum. The Time Control feature uses a row of LED lights to tell you how long a cycle has left, and FlexiTimer lets you set washing time as well as letting you programme in your energy tariff, so it can choose the most economical time to run. It will also adjust the water hardness for a gentler glasses clean and it'll pop open on its on once a cycle has completed. It's expensive, but it's incredible.
