1. BlackBerry Z10
BlackBerry's brand spanking new smartphone comes equipped with BlackBerry's brand spanking new operating system, BlackBerry 10, as well as 4G internet. Under the hood there’s a dual-core 1.5GHz processor along with an impressive 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal memory with a Micro SD card slot that can be bumped up to 32GB - more than enough for plenty of music and a few movies, all of which is displayed across a crisp, 4.2-inch display.
2. Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE
The S2 successor that’s powerful, feature-packed and very durable will come with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS straight out of the box, and all of the specs already available for the 3G model including a meaty 1.4GHz quadcore processor, an 8-Megapixel camera with LED flash and a host of social networking-friendly modes like Social Tag all of which is fronted by a hulking 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen.
3. HTC One XL
The super-sized smartphone from HTC’s latest One Series range hosts a 4.7-inch qHD Super LCD screen and has the now customary Beats Audio on board. As well as its 1080p full HD video recording capabilities and 1.5GHz dualcore processing power, the XL packs an 8-Megapixel camera that combined with HTC’s Image Chip is a photo-grabbing and viewing powerhouse.
4. Nokia Lumia 920
The Finnish mobile-makers first Windows Phone 8 handset will get the 4G treatment adding to its already impressive features list which include the 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display it claims is the brightest phone display on the planet, Nokia’s new augmented reality based City Lens application and an 8.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with Nokia PureView and Carl Zeiss optics tech. We shouldn't also forget that the 920 supports wireless charging which means losing that power cable is not the end of the world.
5. Nokia Lumia 820
Equally as colourful as its more premium Windows Phone 8 compatriot, the 820 features a smaller 4.3-inch OLED WVGA ClearBlack display, with a Snapdragon dualcore processor running at 1.5GHz taking care of the overall performance. Other notable specs include the 8-Megapixel camera, full HD video recording, built-in NFC with 8GB of onboard memory backed up by 7GB of free cloud storage courtesy of Microsoft’s Skydrive application.
6. Huawei Ascend P1 LTE
Measuring in at just 9.9mm thick, the super slim P1 runs on Ice Cream Sandwich and hosts a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED capacitive screen accompanied by an 8-megapixel LED flash autofocus camera. Huawei’s high end smartphone offering is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core A9 processor to ensure a rapid performance. It’s a decent handset, but not quite an all round performer as you’ll see from our Huawei Ascend P1 review.
7. New iPhone?
It’s already been rumoured for the next generation Apple smartphone and the timing of the announcement could be the biggest indication yet that 4G will be one of the features Tim Cook will reveal on stage tomorrow amongst other new iPhone specs we expect to hear more about.
