TomTom GO720
Go go gadget go
Fitted with the latest sat nav body armour the Tom Tom GO720 is one sat nav force to be reckoned with.
Spitting out the plasticky body of rivals, the GO720's high-quality bod' packs an FM Transmitter, voice address input and speed camera info.
We tested the unit on the way to T3 Towers, and the speed camera info came handy when the radio blasted out Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. No one needs to suffer a ticket whilst testing your tonsils with some glam rock.
For £330, it's a shame traffic isn't included, but with clear customisable voice instructions, fast route calculation and terrific maps (which you can correct with the gimmicky MapShare), the 720 is a cinch to use.
It's a bit pricey, but it will save you're rear from the beat, direct you to the nearest pub and get you safely home after a trip on the long and winding road. Really what more could you want? Well from a sat nav anyway.

I know what the TomTom 720 HAS, what I want to know is, is it any good in use? Does the unit vibrate when attached to the screen-mount and you're driving along a very bumpy road (that includes most roads in Warwickshire!)? Have TomTom released a mains charger for it yet? Is a soft cover available for it? You know, important things!
All the best,
Bill
