The dead tech we want to resurrect
Tech to live on beyond the gadget graveyard
It is an accepted part of all life, things live, things die, or when they have outstayed their welcome like that mate who'd said he only needed a place for a couple of nights, it's time to move on.
But just what if we possessed some source of life-bearing power to reach into the depths of discontinued despair and take back one piece of tech that felt as if it was taken from our grasps just too soon?
See which seemingly aged gadget should be allowed to live on amongst the Blu-ray, the iPod and the OLED.

I hate Concorde! A technology that was introduced far too late when the trend to large planes was already established, and was an environmental disaster. Only the British would subsidise the rich few at the expense of the poor slobs who had to fly economy! Good riddance!

Sorry but this is a TERRIBLE article. It's like you don't live in the real world - because HALF of the stuff you want to resurrect you can actually still buy brand new. And then you got your facts wrong about the other stuff.
VHS, Cassettes, Mini Discs, Sandwich Toasters, Durable Nokias, Multi Game Tables, Printing Screen Calculators, Rotary Dial Telephone, Casio Keyboards, Record Players... All able to buy brand new.
You can still buy VHS and Cassettes in Supermarkets and electronic stores.
Mini Discs you can still buy in electronic stores.
I bought a Sandwich Toaster not two weeks ago from Argos.
My mum bought a Nokia last year and it's tougher than the old ones.
You can still buy Multi Gaming Tables - a friend of mine works for a company that makes them (for home and arcade use).
We use Printing Screen Calculators at work (and yes they are new - we had to buy a new batch last year) - You can get big ones that sit on your desk or smaller ones that can hide away in drawers.
The Rotary Dial Phone - go to anywhere that sells house phones and you should be able to find them still.
Casio Keyboard... err yeah they still make them.
Record Players. Yeah you can still buy brand new ones - usually come as part of a big HiFi (With CD, Tape, radio, iPod dock etc...). Some bands still release singles and albums on Vinyl too. Good DJs still use Vinyl and Decks when the play their music, not just laptops.
Perhaps they are things that aren't hugely popular anymore, but they certainly aren't dead. Point being you can't 'resurrect' these things.
ALSO do you actually know what the SEGA Dreamcast is? That's probably the only thing on the list that is worth resurrecting, because it was dropped too soon.
But you make it sound like it was up against the Playstation 1 - when it wasn't, that was the SEGA Saturn. The Dreamcast was up against the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox.
Sorry but it's just infuriating that a supposed Tech-Specialist website doesn't even realise what technology is still on the market, or even what used to be on the market.
It doesn't take long to look up these things up you know.
