Nokia handset owners will soon be able to make free video calls via Skype thanks to Fring, a pioneering app developer. Now, Nokia users can use their phones to make video calls to other Skype devices without the wallet-busting fees attached to video calls.

This isn’t the first time Fring has broken new ground with a mobile app. In the past, the company introduced the very first Twitter mobile app - a smartphone feature which we now take for granted.

Fring promises that other devices and operating systems will soon follow, as they hope to bring free video calling to everyone.

Handsets that are compatible with the video calling feature include: Nokia X6, N97 mini, N97, 5800, N95 and N82 devices.
