MobiBLU DAH-1900 MP3 player
A fiddly but functional MP3 player that outlasts its rivals.
How does the idea of only charging your MP3 player once a month sound? That's what this little jukebox promises, thanks to its outstanding battery life.
MobiBLU reckons you can get 150 hours of playback from the rather bulky rechargeable cell that sits at the bottom of the screen. We got a bit less at 130, but that's still far more than any player we've ever seen before.
Unfortunately, its stamina isn't matched by its ease of use. Many buttons have multiple functions that aren't always obvious. For example, the joystick is normally used to move through your library of tracks, but if you press and hold it, you'll find yourself in the mode selector screen.
If you can get past this, sound quality is good; tracks like Just Lose It by Eminem have plenty of low-end rumble. It works with MP3 and WMA files including protected ones, but it won't play tracks from iTunes or subscription tunes like those from Napster To Go.
So while this model isn't the easiest to use, its sound quality and absolutely gob-smacking battery life make it a cut above most Flash players.
