Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera
Ugly as sin, but nonetheless a solid surveillance or webcam solution
Whether you want to add surveillance to your home or start up some pervy voyeur website, your best bet is to get your hands on a camera that plugs directly into your network. This model supports both wired Ethernet and the speedy 802.11g Wi-Fi standard. The camera isn't motorised, so you can't, say, pan around a room, but image quality is very good and it's a cinch to set up thanks to the LCD display, which shows its IP address when it's logged onto your network. It's just a shame it doesn't include proper surveillance software and that the browser plug-in for viewing video only works in Internet Explorer.
