When we first clapped eyes on this higgledypiggledy mound of buttons, we weren't convinced. Would it really be possible to control a mini keyboard, eight-way pad, scroll wheel and trigger button simultaneously - with just our left hand?

Surprisingly, the answer turned out to be yes. In fact, after five minutes of blood- spattering PC action, we wondered how we'd ever done without the SpeedPad.

Not only is it easy to set up and customise, but it's also extremely comfortable - even after an hour of sweaty play. The bundled software enables you to assign any action to any button and create deadly 104-button macros (great for unleashing Armageddon on adversaries).

Oh, and the best bit is that your right hand is left free to punch the air in victory.
