Nokia 7370 mobile phone
More fashion faux pas than functional phone.
On the more practical end of Nokia's L'Amour range is this model, which features a screen that swivels through 180 degrees. The twisty screen is a neat touch, helping to keep the phone nice and compact. The screen automatically re-orients itself when you shut it.
It shares the same styling as the rest of the L'Amour range, with a leatherette back, an unusual gold-metallic finish with a swirly flower pattern, and a protruding fabric label. To complete the effect, Nokia adds an attachable tassel that looks rather like a curtain pull.
Now clearly this, like nuclear war, is not a concept that's going to appeal to everyone. If you're tempted, however, be warned: that "stylish" fabric label starts to look pretty grubby, pretty quickly.
And the rest? It's as easy to use as any other recent Nokia, with colourful menus looking fabulous on the lovely screen. Camera pics are OK, but a little too grainy to be hanging on your wall.
The stereo speakers are pretty good for a phone, and basic music and movie players are included. Don't chuck out your iPod quite yet, though: the meagre 10MB of memory can't be expanded.
This is a very usable mobile, but nothing spectacular. One of the best models available for girly girls.
