Motorola RAZR V3
How thin? Did John Prescott sit on it?
Witchcraft, I tell thee! How else do you expect us to explain this impossibly slim phone? At just 14mm thick and barely bigger than a credit card, surely it has to be the work of supernatural forces? We're off to start a witch-hunt right now. Why don't you join us - right after you've read the low-down on this amazing handset?
Design-wise, it's spot on. And even though it might look like a wafer, it's not going to snap like one, thanks to the aircraft- grade-aluminium body. Flip it open and you'll find a large 2.2- inch 65,000-colour screen and a nickel-plated keypad that glows blue, like a Star Trek special effect.
As well as a 0.3-megapixel camera that takes okay pics, you get Class 1 Bluetooth (which has a 100-metre range) and an external colour screen. Call quality is excellent and battery life is top-notch - you'll get seven hours' talk time, or about a week on standby. On the downside, it lacks a memory card slot and the menu is pretty awful.
So, bottom line - is it worth buying? Well, yes. It's a wondrous bit of design, it makes good calls and it has plenty of features.
