Samsung reveals BD-P4600 and BD-P3600 Blu-ray players at CES 2009
Samsung claims it takes just 10 minutes to get the BDPs out of the box, connect, and start watching films
Samsung revealed the world's first wall-mountable Blu-ray player at CES 2009 today, the BD-P4600, as well as the BD-P3600.
The star attractation with the two BDPs is the Netflix and Pandora support, offering video and music streaming over the network. BD Live and Bonus View, Full HD 1080p Blu-ray playback, and DVD upscaling all feature here. CD playback, JPEG photos and DivX video support finish off the entertainment beasts.
At just 1.5-inches thick, the flagship BDP-4600 is the world's slimmest Blu-ray player, and is also wall mountable, with a stand inclosed for a 25 degree angle. It ejects discs in just a single second, and has Touch of Color design with touch-sensitive controls.
Two USB ports, 1GB internal memory, and Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD HR/MA round off the audio angle.
No word on launch date or pricing, however we imagine it will be in the second quarter of 2009. Take a closer look at our hands-on gallery.
