LG announces BD370 and BD390 Blu-ray players at CES 2009

"Support for YouTube, partnerships with other online video and audio providers" all offered in these new BDPs according to Dr. Woo Paik of LG

LG's continuing on from last year's Blu-ray success, and announced the BD370 AND BD390 Blu-ray players, the first to support profits from their Netcast partnership, including CinemaNow and YouTube goodies.

The BD370 is the first Blu-ray player to contain video on-demand from YouTube alongside BD Live, which offers live chat, multi-player games and other contextual delights surrounding films. It upscales DVDs to "near high definition quality", and has 1080p resolution via HDMI.

On the audio front, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD are of course included, and it also has a USB port for whacking in your sticks filled with MPEG4, JPEG, MO3 and WMA formats.

The BD390 sounds much the same, but contains 1GB of internal storage and a 7.1 analog output.

The BD370 and BD390 will be available in the UK from April 2009, prices as yet unconfirmed.
