iriver debuts the P7 PMP at CES 2009

Do it all touchy goodness

Things were a lot easier when MP3 players just played MP3s. Now each and every tech manufacturer seems hell-bent on churning out machines that do everything – with the effect that we have to put up with a lot more acronyms in our lives. Most notable PMP – the personal media player.

Take the iriver P7, for example; as shown along with a slurry of new AV gadgets at CES. Not only does it play said music files, but also photo’s, FM radio, SRS WOW HD and video with ‘full movie CODEC support'.

The LCD touchscreen looks impressive, as does the interface. It’ll come in 4, 8 and 16GB flavours (NAND Flash memory), and will churn out 50 ours of audio playback on a single charge. No word on price yet, but we’ll keep you updated.

Also on offer from iriver at CES are the E50 MP4 player (with 52 hour battery life), and the E100 Season II Multimedia Mp3 Player (Which adds a flurry of new colours to the original Season).
