Denon D-M35 DAB

Style and performance in perfect harmony.

Denon is the king of stylish micro systems, and now it has added DAB and a new set of speakers to its impressive line-up. But has this added cost tarnished the package?

THE GOOD
We're not quite sure how it does it, but Denon has managed to turn out another easy-on-the-eye package. This time, its classic micro series has had a welcome injection of technology, with the introduction of a DAB tuner. It sounds better than ever with a full and open sound that's excellent with CD and very impressive with DAB radio.

THE BAD
There's very little to complain about here, although this is the most expensive product in this test. Also, the supplied cable is close to being too thick for the speakers' inputs, making set-up trickier than necessary.

THE VERDICT
This is quite simply the best DAB-equipped micro system around, mixing sound quality and style in an unbeatable package. If you have the money, look no further.
